Wainsgate Chapel grew out of its community, was paid for by public subscription, and continues to hold a special place in the lives of the communities that surround it.
It has always been a place to gather; a place in which people could come together to connect and find a sense of meaning and community.
Our programme continues that tradition, and is constantly expanding to include more people and to provide more contexts for meaningful and life affirming gatherings to happen.
We are committed to building a sustainable future for the building – one which centers creativity, exchange and inclusive activities for the different communities who use it.
Our work is breathing new life into the building, and we see this as a means of securing its future life, which in turn is a sure way to ensure that Wainsgate’s rich heritage is preserved and made available to both current, and future generations.
