There is disabled parking adjacent to the building. Otherwise there is some parking parking on Old Town Mill Lane, close to the venue.
It’s a 25 minute walk from the centre of Hebden Bridge via Birchcliffe and Sandy Gate. There are many other beautiful ways to walk from the town to Wainsgate too.
We are currently working with Historic Chapels Trust to make Wainsgate a more accessible building, but we still have some way to go.
Wainsgate is accessed via an uneven track which is currently not accessible by wheelchair.
There is disabled parking adjacent to the venue, and an access ramp was recently installed, which gives step free access to the ground floor and the chapel through the two doors at the side and back of the building.
There is currently one toilet in the building which is gender neutral. We are in the process of putting plans together to create two toilets on the ground floor, one of which will have full disabled access.
The first floor is accessed by a staircase with 20 steps. It has wooden rails on one side.
There is currently no toilet on the first floor.
